A Unique Entry into The Health Care Field
Are you looking for an excellent registered nursing position? Some of our correctional healthcare nurses spend most of their time on employee assessments and vaccinations. Others work closely with inmates to give them the best chance for life on the inside, delivering life-saving medications and treating everyday concerns.
We require candidates to have a Registered Nurse license in the state of employment. They must also have a valid CPR card to respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies within the facility, as well as participate in all applicable safety/emergency drills. The nurse will work closely with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) and the Director of Nursing (DON) where their knowledge and expertise of nursing services will be used in accordance to policies and procedures in place. Alongside the HSA and Don, they will assist in daily triage/sick call, minor medical/surgical procedures, and patient assessments. We expect our nurses to complete at least 12 hours of CEU pertinent to correctional health care annually. Depending on the position, we hire entry-level and 1-2 year experienced nurses.
